PLAINVIEW ? Services for Neoma Kiser Rogers, 88, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Travis Hart officiating.
Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center.
She died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003.
She was born April 24, 1914, in Pontotoc, Okla. She moved to Hale Center in March 1925. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1932 and attended West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon.
She moved to Wichita, Kan., in 1942 and worked for Cessna Aircraft. She also played semi-pro basketball. She returned to Hale Center in 1945. She married Dale "Preacher" Rogers on Jan. 11, 1947, in Hale Center. In 1958, they moved to Plainview.
She was a member of the Plainview First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school in the Adult II department for 25 years. She was a member of the Terrell Sunday school class, where she was associate teacher. She was a charter member of the Millenium Singers.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Bob.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Billy of Canyon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
