Helen Wilson Rogers, 95, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at her home in Russellville, Ark. She was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Vernon, Texas, to Robb E. and Ollie Wilson. She grew up at Plainview. She married Wilton Wilks in Plainview in 1940, and they moved to a farm in Pleasant Hill, N.M., in 1957. Wilton died in 1972, and Helen continued to live there until February 2009. She remarried Allen Rogers in 1980. They were both members of First Methodist Church in Clovis, N.M. She moved to Russellville, Ark., and lived with her daughter and family until her death. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Kornerstone Chapel in Plainview. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville, Ark. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Wilton Samuel Wilks; her second husband, Allen Rogers; her parents; three sisters, Ella Faye Robertson, Louise Widener, Jeanie Mayo; and two brothers, Luke Wilson and James Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Aylesworth and husband Brian of Russellville, Ark.; step-son, Robert Allen Rogers; stepdaughter, Marty Lamb and husband Don of Wolf City, Texas; and a dear friend and former sister-in-law, Beverly Colvin; brother, Elton Wilson; sister, Daisy and husband Alvin Law of Plainview; nine grandchildren, Drew, Christa and Ethan Aylesworth of Russellville, Ark.; Billy Rogers of Denver; Brian Rogers of New York City; Amanda Heinrich, Tom Lamb, James Lamb and Carrie Green of Wolf City, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
