Verna Rodriguez Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodriguez died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 21, 1959, in Robstown to Pete and Tomasa Rodriguez. She graduated from Plainview High School and owned several businesses in Odessa and Las Vegas. Survivors include her mother, Tomasa Rodriguez of Plainview; two sons, Thomas Perez and Alejandro Rodriguez, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Virginia Gomez of Las Vegas; two brothers, Fernando Rodriguez of Lubbock and Pete Rodriguez Jr. of Vernon; two sisters, Virginia Champion and Melissa Diaz, both of Plainview; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Rodriguez.
