Obituary

Funeral Mass for Ramon Correa Rodriguez, 69, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymundo Manriquez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Rodriguez died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married Flora Rodriguez on March 21, 1962, in Edinburg. He grew up in Reynosa, Mexico, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1958, then to Plainview in 1968. He previously worked at Jimmy Dean, Missouri Beef and Hi Plains Pavers. After his retirement, he became self-employed repairing appliances. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Ramon Rodriguez Jr., Miguel Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez, all of Plainview, and Mario Rodriguez of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Leticia R. Pineda and Yesenia Rodriguez, both of Plainview; one brother, Alfredo Rodriguez of Idaho; one sister, Margarita Enriquez of Plainview; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His parents, two brothers and one son are deceased.
