Funeral Mass for Maria E. Rodriguez, 92, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodriguez died Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Lubbock. She was born May 19, 1919, in Campbellton, Texas, to Jose Angel and Mariquita Figueroa. She and her family moved to Plainview in 1956. She was a mother, wife and homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a Guadalupana and Cursillista and was actively involved in the church community. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Inocente Rodriguez of Plainview, Gavino and Doris Rodriguez of San Marcos, Calif., Antonio and Leticia Rodriguez and Richard and Teresa Rodriguez, all of Lubbock; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Quintanilla of San Antonio, Olivia Villa of Cleveland, Texas, Estella and Felix Gonzales and Anna and Paul Soliz, all of Plainview; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and six plus one pending great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Rodriguez; a son, Jose Angel "Porky" Rodriguez; a grandchild, Antonio "Tonito" Villa; a son-in-law, Octabiano "Tony" Villa; four brothers; and two sisters.
