Obituary

Funeral services for Jose B. Rodriguez, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Rodriguez died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Integrated Health Services Heritage Home of Plainview. He was born Nov. 26, 1911, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. He married Eriberta Castro on Nov. 21, 1933, in Sonora. She died April 29, 1981. He moved to Plainview in 1952 where he worked for Hi-Plains Concrete for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include four daughters, Floria R. Ramirez, Mariana R. Lopez, Paula R. Barrientos and Elvia R. Sanchez, all of Plainview; four sons, Eulogio "Luke" Rodriguez of San Angelo, and Jose Jr., Roberto "Bobby" and George C. Rodriguez, all of Plainview; one brother, Antonio B. Rodriguez of Abilene; two sisters, Angela R. Esparza and Ofelia Galindo Rodriguez, both of San Antonio; 36 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Maria Perez and Enedelia Rodriguez; two sons, Ramiro Jose and Reynaldo C. Rodriguez; two brothers; and one sister are deceased.
