Obituary

Memorial services for Concepcion "Concha" Rodriguez, 80, of Plainview will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Concha passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21 in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Sylvester and Candelaria Briones. She married Bidal Rodriguez on Sept. 28, 1968, in Tulia. She is survived by four daughters, Petra Balles, Candelaria Tonche and husband Mike, Blanca Lopez and husband Paul, and Leticia Rodriguez, all of Plainview; two brothers, Enrique Briones of Plainview, and Ricardo Briones and wife Margarita of Tulia; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bidal Rodriguez.
