Obituary

Alfredo "Freddie" Rodriguez, 57, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at his home in Lanesville, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today, July 26, 2013, at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Ind. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Lockney and attended schools in Plainview. He joined the Army after high school and served in Iraq and Kuwait during Desert Storm, receiving 10 awards including the Bronze Star. He retired as a first sergeant after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife Tricia; father, Victor, and mother Olivia; brothers, Victor of New Mexico, Oscar of Dallas, Raul of Lubbock, David Luna of Plainview, Ruben Rivera of New Mexico, Bobby and Micheal Cervantes from the Austin area; sisters, Dr. June Azua of Dallas, Helen Peters of Dallas, Dr. Gracie Vargas of Galveston, Yesenia Pardo of Plainview, Rosita Hernandez of San Antonio, and Juanita Ortega of San Antonio and many nephews and nieces.
