Obituary

Funeral services for Ernest R. Rocha, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe M. Hernandez, associate pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Rocha died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at his residence. He was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Duncan, Okla. He served with the U.S. Army from 1951-53. He had lived in Plainview the past 52 years and worked in road construction. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed the outdoors. On Oct. 22, 1988, he married Anita Garza in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Glenda Rocha of Minnesota and Rene Santos of Plainview; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Cynthia and Manuel Delgado and Soila Santos, all of Plainview, Delia and Tomas Hernandez of Floydada and Leah and Robert Hernandez of Lubbock; one brother, John Rocha of Mesquite; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
