Lubbock?Funeral services for Gladys Mae Robertson, 89, of Abilene were at 10:30 a.m. today in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Scott Beard and Carroll Lockett officiating.
Burial was at 2 p.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Robertson died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, in Hendrick Hospital in Abilene.
She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Clairette. She lived in Hale Center before moving to Lubbock in 1977. She moved to Abilene on Sept. 1, 2001, from Nebraska.
While living in Hale Center she worked for Southwestern Public Service and Southwestern Bell Telephone. In Lubbock, she worked as a sales clerk at Little Mister and Sugar ?n Spice Children?s Shop.
She was a member of Emmanuel Fellowship in Abilene.
On Oct. 29, 1935, she married Leonard A. Robertson in Plainview. He died in March 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Lon Robertson of Mona, Ark., and Lee Earl Robertson of Murrill, Neb.; a sister, Mattie Lee Burnett; four brothers, Robert E. Burnett, Richard Burnett, Claude A. Burnett of Hale Center, and Billy E. Burnett; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
