Obituary
Ygnasia "Nacha" Rivera, 90, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Lockney. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Elder Joel Floyd officiating. Cremation service arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation immediately following the service in the chapel. Nacha was born on Feb. 1, 1922, in Benjamin, Texas, to Juan and Carmen (Ochoa) Garza. She liked to work in her yard, was a great cook, and was a wonderful homemaker. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her large family. Nacha was a member of the Christian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and a faithful servant of Jehovah God until her death. Mrs. Rivera enjoyed teaching Bible truths to people of all ethnic origins. She will be missed by members of her congregation, her community and especially her family. Nacha is survived by her children Jesse and Margaret Rivera of Plainview, Hortencia and Johnny Alonzo of Amarillo, Carmen and John Vega, Della and Ray Castillo, Sally and Julio Flores, and Veronica Rivera and Eli Gonzales, all of Plainview; her brother, Jesse Garza of Houston; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Maria Rivera Martinez; a son Tommy Rivera; Ernest Rivera; and three brothers and two sisters.
