Obituary

Funeral services for Manuel Rivera III, 31, of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview with the Rev. Gerard Kenny, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Rivera died Sunday, June 23, 2002. He was born March 21, 1971, in Plainview. On Feb. 26, 1989, he married Sylvia Vela in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Amber, Nicole, Audrey and Valeria Rivera, all of Lubbock; two sons, Joel and Miguel Rivera, both of Lubbock; his parents, Manuel and Rachel Rivera of Floydada; two brothers, Jaime and Leandor Rivera, both of Floydada; three sisters, Nora, Laura Annette and Beatrice Rivera, all of Floydada; and his grandparents, Beatrice Rivera of Plainview and Maria Vega of Floydada.
