Ritchey, Melvin, Mrs. (Imogene Thompson)

Hale Center ? Funeral services for Imogene Ritchey, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Meacham, pastor officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Freeman-Abel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ritchey died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, in Hi-Plains Nursing Home.

She was born May 17, 1919, in Lockney. She graduated from Plainview High School and Lippert?s Business College and had been a longtime employee of Southwestern Bell, working in the business office. She also had worked with the Hale Center Insurance Agency.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

On May 9, 1948, she married Melvin Ritchey in Hale Center. He died May 29, 1999.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Valerie Ritchey of Lubbock; three nieces and two nephews.

The family suggest memorials to a favorite charity.
