Obituary

Funeral Mass for Francisco R. Rios, 74, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Rios died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010. He was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Runge to Juan and Eufemia Rodriguez Rios. He married Teresa Leal on Jan. 31, 1958, in Plainview. He worked at Excel in the maintenance department for more than 20 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Johnny Rios of Plainview; a daughter, Elvia Montez of Plainview; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Paul and Pak Rios and Joe Rios, all of Austin, and Robert and Sally Rios of Runge; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa Garcia of Austin, Christina and Jim Steelman of Salem, Mo., Chriselda and George Gonzalez of Plainview and Dora and Ed Writt of Smyran, Maine; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
