Riley, Granville Perl, Mrs. (Fannie Waters)

A former Samnorwood woman, more recently of Childress, Mrs. Fannie Riley, 93, died Friday, July 28 at Childress. She had lived in Childress four years, moving here from Hale Center.

Mrs. Riley was born June 8, 1896 in Parker County, the daughter of Thomas Romine Waters and Laura Sisk Waters.

She attended West Texas State University two years. She married Granville P. Riley, in 1918 at Dozier. He died in 1959.

She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ.

Mrs. Riley, a retired teacher, taught at Abra and Samnorwood.

She is survived by a son, Bartow Riley, Childress; one brother, Hayes Waters of Stephenville and by three grandchildren.
