Obituary

Minnie Ruth Rigler, 88, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the funeral home. Mrs. Rigler was born on Aug. 5, 1926, to Robert Lee and Laura Dee Foster in Lorraine, Texas. She graduated from Brownfield High School and Wayland Baptist College. She married Robert Rigler on Nov. 4, 1951 in Plainview. Mrs. Rigler was a longtime volunteer for RSVP, Hale County Literacy Council, Unger Memorial Library and the Pink Ladies/Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Robert Rigler of Plainview; one daughter, Risa Rigler Ware and husband Brad of Ft. Riley, Kansas; two sons, Robert Kirk Rigler and wife Anna of Plainview and Don Rigler and wife Denise of Benicia, California; one brother, Robert Jack Foster of Rockwall; four grandchildren, Nathan K. Rigler and wife Mandy of Lubbock, Robert Mack Bator of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Madeline Rigler and Allison Rigler of Benicia, California; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Rigler and Nash Rigler.
