Memorial services for Glenn Wade Richardson, 77, of Plainview will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kyle Brock officiating, assisted by Jimmy Sharp, Richardson's nephew. Visitation will be after the service. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Richardson died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, in Plainview. He was born April 25, 1934, in Tulia to William and Savannah (Mills) Richardson and graduated from Tulia High School. He married Dorothy Langston on Aug. 27, 1955, in Clovis, N.M. He was raised on a farm east of Tulia. He had farmed in the Tulia area and was a licensed cosmetologist, and he and his wife owned and operated several floral firms for more than 50 years, most recently Black Forest Floral in Plainview. He retired in March. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Barnes and her husband, Kerry, of Cranfills Gap; two sons, Zane Richardson and his wife, Sharon, of Plainview and Greg Richardson and his wife, Yvette, of Lubbock; a brother, Ray Richardson; three sisters, Willie Pearl Sharp, Idalou Hudson and Frankie George; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
