Reyes, Maria Josefina (Josie)

Hale Center-- Graveside services for Maria Josefina Reyes, 47, were at 10 a.m. today in Hale Center Cemetery with the Rev. Reymundo Manriquez officiating.

Burial arragements were by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.

Ms. Reyes died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at her residence after an illness.

She was born March 19, 1956, in Hereford. She moved to Hale Center from Harlingen in 2000.

Survivors include a son, Carlos Cortez Jr., of Woodrow; two daughters, Mary Jane Cruz and Mary Ann Cortez, both of Harlingen; her mother, Maria Reyes of Hale Center; six brothers, Luis Reyes and Martin Reyes, both of Hale Center, Leon Reyes of Lubbock, Robert Reyes of El Paso, Johnny Reyes of Abilene and Raul Reyes of El Paso; two sisters, Yolanda Salazar of Harlingen and Nicole Francisca Lora of Olton; and eight grandchildren.
