Obituary

Jeffrey Reyes, 43, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Lubbock. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, March 15, 2011, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview with Pastor Ron Brunson officiating and Richard Reyes assisting. Burial followed in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary was held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jeffrey was born on Oct. 6, 1967, in Lawton, Okla., to Reynulfo "Joe" and Eva Reyes. He grew up in Plain?view and graduated from Plainview High School. He was a carpenter and worked at Wal-Mart Distribution as a fork lift operator for more than 15 years. He attended the New Covenant Church. He is survived by his children, Johnny Reyes, Brittany Reyes and Jazmine Reyes, all of Plainview; the mother of his children, Evelyn Voyles; his mother, Eva Reyes of Plainview; siblings, Linda DeLeon, Joe Reyes and Auturo Ortiz, all of Plainview and Sylvia Reyes of Lubbock; one grandson, Josiah Reyes of Plainview; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
