Obituary

Funeral Mass for Sovieda "Sofie" Reyes, 59, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Rudello officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Reyes died Feb. 25, 2008, at her residence. She was born July 26, 1948, in Odem to Bartello Gomez and Concepcion Coronado. She married Epifanio Reyes on Feb. 5, 1966, in Hale Center. Survivors include her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law, Epifanio Jr., and Melissa Reyes, Michael and Vickie Reyes, and Jose A. and Susie Reyes; one daughter and son-in-law, Irma and Javier Fernando Lopez; three brothers, Johnny Gomez, Florencio Gomez and Demencio Gomez; and one sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Lonnie Gomez. Her parents; three brothers, Reynaldo Gomez, Pedro Gomez and Domingo Gomez; and one sister, Lupe Ramirez, are deceased.
