Obituary

Funeral services for Lolla "Ruth" Rendon, 72, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rendon died Friday, April 8, 2011, in Plainview. She was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Bonham, Texas, to John and Josie Lockaby. She married Pat Rendon on Feb. 19, 1955, in Clovis, N.M. She moved from Floydada to Plainview in 1979. She was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and a member of College Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Pat Rendon of Plainview; one son, Patrick Lee Rendon and wife Lorrie of Dumas; two daughters, Betty Ruth Deleon and husband Ruben of Plainview and Shonda Mary Jo Flores of Lockney; four brothers, Wade Eugene Lockaby of Fort Worth, Leeman Lockaby of Lewisville, Texas, John Edward Lockaby of Coffeeville, Kan., and Larry Dean Lockaby of Irving, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Paxton Rendon, John Allen Rendon and Ray Carroll Rendon; one brother, Garland Lockaby; and three sisters, Loretta Duvak, Faye Large and Bessie Aderhold.
