Obituary

Come as I know you, come as you are. Funeral Mass for Ismael Recio, 50, of Plainview will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating.
Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Recio died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in Lubbock.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1963, in Plainview to Valentin and Guadalupe Salazar Recio. He married Sylvia Rodriquez on July 1, 1982, in Plainview. He is survived by his wife Sylvia of Plainview; two daughters, Mandy Gonzalez and husband Greg and Martika Perez and husband Matt, both of Plainview; three grandchildren, Jaylee and Evan Gonzalez and Lzzy Perez, all of Plainview; three brothers, Alex Recio of Hereford, Alfonso Recio of Plainview and Valentin Recio of Amarillo; six sisters, Esmeralda Gonzalez, Linda Ramos and Rejina Gonzalez, all of Amarillo, Melinda Recio of Lubbock, Sally Recio of Tyler, Texas, and Anita Moralez of Plainview
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ascencion Recio and Carlos Recio.
