Reams, Dorothy

Graveside services for Dorothy Reams, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Plainview Memorial Park with Karl King, minister of Garland Street Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Miss Reams died at 1:30 a.m. today, April 26, 1999, in HIS Heritage Home.

She was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Spur. She grew up in Plainview where she graduated Plainview High School. She trained at the Plainview Sanitarium and Clinic where she received her nursing degree and worked as a nurse. She worked at a Borger hospital during World War 2 and after the wat returned to Plainview and worked at Plainview Hospital. During the early 1960?s she served as school nurse for the Plainview ISD. She returned to the Plainview Hospital to nurse and retired from Nicholas Clinic.

Survivors include one brother, Fred Reams of Westminster, Colo.; a sister, Lois Shelton of Shawnee, Okla.; a brother-in-law, George Braga, of Plainview; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Reams of Denton; and several nieces and nephews.
