Ray, Melvin, Mrs. (Juanita)

Graveside services for Juanita Ray, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Plainview Memorial Park with Russell Harris, minister of Garland Street Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ray died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in Hale County Nursing Home in Hale Center.

She was born July 20, 1915, in Wheeling, W.Va. She moved to Plainview in 1952 from Levelland. She worked as a caregiver of children and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

On Jan. 10, 1938, she married Melvin Ray in Lockney. He died Nov. 16, 1968.

Survivors include two sons, John Ray of New Braunfels and Royce Ray of Burlington, N.J.; a daughter, Sharon Mogg of Plainview; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
