Funeral services for Myrtle "Pie-pie" Ray, 88, of Abilene, Texas, formerly of Plainview, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Bartley Memorial Chapel in Plainview. Interment was in Plainview Cemetery. Mrs. Ray died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at the Hendricks Hospital in Abilene, Texas. She was born Nov. 25, 1916, in Vernon, Okla. She married Alfred Clifton Ray on Nov. 16, 1935, in Plainview. She resided in Plainview since 1935. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Delores Majors of Coahoma, Texas; one grandson, Thomas Majors of Marshfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Tresa Majors of Big Spring, Texas, and Seilica Majors of Marshfield, Missouri; two great-granddaughters, Kayla Coskey of Abilene, Texas, and Julie Majors of Edgewood, Texas; four great-grandsons, Chris Majors of Edgewood, Texas, Clark Coskey of Abilene, Texas, Blake Spann of Amarillo, Texas, Buckie Spann of Amarillo; four great-great-grandsons, Riley, T.J., Clayton, and Zach; and three great-great-granddaughters, Ashley, Cassidy and Brianna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ray; a grandson, Ricky Majors; and a son-in-law, O.D. Majors.
