Funeral services for Burnice Jane Rawdon, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.
Ms. Rawdon died Thursday, April 12, 2001, in Prairie House Living Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Grand Prairie. During World War II, she helped build the P-38 aircraft at the Lockheed Plant in Dallas. She was a hairdresser in Plainview for 47 years.
She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ for 75 years where she worked in the nursery department.
Survivors include a brother, R.L. Rawdon of Plainview; a sister-in-law, Jimmie Rawdon of Plainview; 19 nieces and nephews including Billie Nelson of Spring, Jo Ann Graham of Longview, Peggy Long of Waco and Bobbie Rawdon of Plainview; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her father, S.M. Rawdon, her mother, Sarah Jane Warren, two sisters, Mytrice Remaklus and Tommie Ann Trinder, A sister-in-law, Billie Rawdon, and a nephew, Don Rawdon, are deceased.
Pallbearers will be Steve Chupp, Kevin Finley, Jeff Gould, David Nelson, Matt Stanford and Donnie Ballard.
The family suggest memorials to the New Mexico Children?s Home in Portales, N.M.
