Rascon, Elias V.

Funeral services for Elias V. Rascon, 77, of Kress, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. J.G. Silva, minister of Mission Bautista El Calvario in Kress, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Steve Rogers, minister of Trinity Fellowship in Plainview.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Rascon died at 1:15 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at his residence.

He was born June 16, 1925, in Fabens. He married Leonora Villanueva on Jan. 4, 1956, in Leming.

Mr. Rascon was a member of Mission Bautista El Calvario were he was a deacon and church treasurer.

Two brothers are deceased.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nora Alvarado of Aurora, Colo.; five sons, Daniel Rascon of Plainview, David Rascon of Corpus Christi, Elias Rascon Jr. of Tulia, Tony Rascon of Lubbock, and Adam Rascon of Kress; one brother, Eduardo Rascon of Chihuahua, Mexico; and 12 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
