Services for Willie Mae "Bill" Raper, 95, of Plainview will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Raper died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Westridge Manor under the care of Area Community Hospice of Plainview. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the church. She was born Jan. 12, 1914, to Ira Bottoms and Ollie Killion in Byars, Okla. She married Emmitt Raper on March 17, 1934, in Lindsay, Okla. He died March 14, 1983. She was a longtime member of College Heights Baptist Church, joining in 1934 when she moved to Plainview from Oklahoma. Survivors include a granddaughter and her husband, Robbie and Jerry Hembree of Lubbock; two grandsons, Bill King of Lubbock and Erik King of Odessa; two great-granddaughters, Keisha Bryan and her husband, Aaron, of Lubbock and Rheanna King of Chico; two great-grandsons, Ryan Hembree and Billy Roy King, both of Lubbock; and one great-great-grandson, Tyler Hembree of Lubbock.
