Obituary

Mass for Willie Ramos, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Ramos died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in Plainview. He was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Houston to Antonio and Vicenta Ramos. He married Maria Arteaga on Oct. 12, 1963, in Abernathy. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a pipe layer in Plainview for many years. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Danny and Esther Ramos of Garland, and Tony Ramos and Willie Ramos Jr., both of Dallas; five daughters, Sylvia Ramos and Susie Saldana, both of Plainview, Estella Ramos and Ofelia Ramos, both of Dallas, and Nancy Ramos of Oklahoma; one sister, Bessie Hamilton of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. His brother, Marcelino Ramos; two sisters, Santos Ramos and Estella Duenas; and a grandson, Timothy Nunez, are deceased.
