Ramos, Manuel V.
Funeral Mass for Manuel V. Ramos, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe, Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Kenney, pastor, and Leo Ramos, deacon, officiating.
Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m.in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. He died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, in Amarillo.
He was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Fort Stockton. He moved to Plainview in 1951 from Ballinger and worked at Excel Meat Co., retiring in 1981.
On July 14, 1943, he married Juanita Torres in Ballinger.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Maria Ramos of Amarillo, Felipa Zepeda of Madison, Wis., Sulema Munoz of Austin and San Juana Estrada of Plainview; three sons, Jose Manuel Ramos of Childress, Lucio Ramos of Brownfield and Jessie Torres of Plainview; one brother, Alfredo Ramos of Plainview; two sisters, Dora Gonzales of Houston and Delfina Lopez of Chicago Heights, Ill.; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Two sons and one daughter are deceased.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
