Funeral Mass for Martin Ramirez, 75, of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Kasteel, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Ramirez died at 11:37 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock.
He was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Crystal City and moved to Plainview in 1970. He worked for Plainview Acid Delinting and as a farm hand.
He served with the U.S. Army from Jan. 19, 1944 to June 7, 1944, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
On Oct. 12, 1976, he married Juana Zubia in Plainview.
Survivors include his wife of Lubbock; four daughters, Martha Ybarra and Gloria Ramirez, both of California, Libradad Armendarez of Mexico and Manuela Ramos of Lubbock; one brother, Narcisco Ramirez of Eagle Pass; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Muniz Jr., Jonathan Munoz, Julio Armendarez, Joe Ramos, Roger Flores and Jesse Gatica.
