ALLEN- Memorial services for Rodney Lee ?Rod? Pyatt, 43, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Ridgeview Memorial Park Funeral Directors in McKinney.
Mr. Pyatt died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, in Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Wylie.
He was born March 28, 1954 in Austin, the son of Robert James and Benita Snailum Pyatt. He moved to Plainview with his parents in 1957 where he attended school. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1972 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1972, serving until 1976. He was self-employed as an independent wallpaper contractor.
He was a former member of Plainview High School A Cappella Choir, High School Rodeo Association. Little League, Babe Ruth League and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Roscoe.
On June 29, 1974, he married Sherry Kay Norrell in Plainview.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Amanda Pyatt of North Richland Hills and Michelle Pyatt of Allen; a son, Joshua Pyatt of Allen; his parents, Robert J. and Bonita Pyatt of Plainview; a brother, Lt. Col. Michael D. Pyatt of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Tammie Westmoreland of Granbury; a grandson, Devan Lee Cole of North Richland Hills; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, R.C. and Johnnie Faye Norrell of Plainview.
