Obituary

Victor Ayala Pulido, 76, of Plainview passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m, today, Dec. 22, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Pulido was born April 23, 1934, in Dilly, Texas, to Constancio and Guadalupe Ayala Pulido. He married Herminia Medina on Oct. 31, 1953. He worked as a farmer and later worked for John Deere. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was very active in the church. He drove the church bus to Bible school and taught Bible study classes. Victor loved gardening and building things in the yard. He enjoyed going to his grandkids' activities at school. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Herminia Pulido of Plainview; his children, Victor Pulido Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Fort Worth, Johnny Pulido and his wife, Elodia, of Kyle, Robert Pulido of Okinawa, Margie Hernandez and her husband, Mauricio, of Plainview, Bill Pulido of Plainview, Jesse Pulido and Sandra Gonzales of Fort Worth and Melynda Garza and her husband, Eric, of Plainview; three brothers, Raymond Pulido and his wife, Jane, of Hereford, Gilbert Pulido and his wife, Rachel, of San Antonio and Tony Pulido of Detroit; one sister, Mary Singletary and her husband, Ronnie, of Detroit; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Nora Pulido; and two brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2805 N. Columbia, Plainview, TX 79072.
