Funeral services for Reynaldo "Rey" Puente Sr., 65 of Longview, formerly of Plainview, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roy Puente officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Puente died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, in Longview. He was born Feb. 24, 1945, in Cuero to Roque and Juanita Puente. He married Emma Rodriguez on Dec. 29, 1967, in Muleshoe and was married for 21 years. He married Doris Kent on Nov. 23, 1991 in Plainview. Survivors include his wife, Doris Puente; one son, Reynaldo Puente Jr. of Livingston; two daughters, Ketha Molina of Seminole and Skokie Ordones of Victoria; four brothers, Antonio Leos Puente of Las Vegas, Joe Garza Puente of California, Rogelio Santiago Puente of Hereford and Jeremias Puente of Hale Center; two sisters, Merced Puente Mendoza of El Paso and Lydia Sue Puente Vega of Farwell; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Monica Nicole Puente Ya; his parents; and one brother, Marcos Puente. Online condolences may be made at [email protected].
