Pruett, Claude, Mrs. (Rachel Olivia Sisemore)
Funeral services for Rachel Oliva Pruett, 70, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Mike Prather, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pruett died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998 in Plainview.
She was born Rachel Olivia Sisemore on May 29, 1927, in Lafayette, Ga. She moved to Plainview in 1940 from Estelline and worked for J.C. Penney?s and Sears for several years. She also worked with Edgemere Elementary School in the accelerated reading program the last two years.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth & Columbia Church of Christ.
On July 14, 1951, she married Claude Pruett in Hale Center.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Claudette Johnson of Plainview; two sons, Brian Pruett and Donald Pruett, both of Plainview; two sisters, Frances Stalcup of Brownwood and Mary June Stalcup of Coleman; three brothers, Bobby Sisemore of Kress, Tommy R. Sisemore of Robert Lee and Gene Sisemore of Hale Center; and seven grandchildren, two of whom she has helped raise the past three years.
