COUNTY LINE ? Funeral services for Pete Price, 75, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lakeridge Baptist Church in Lubbock with the Rev. Bruce Cotton, Hospice of Lubbock chaplain officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home in Abernathy.

Mr. Price died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Little Rock, Ark. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and moved to Lubbock from Oklahoma City, Okla., in 1947. He worked for the Baker Company and moved to County Line in 1970 where he owned and operated Price?s County Line Sore until 1988.

He was active in sports. He played softball for a Lubbock league for many years and was an All-State second baseman. He was a member of Horner Lake Club.

On Nov. 26, 1947, he married Betty Jo Snow in Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Graves, of Burns Flatt, Okla., and T.J. and Diane Price of Plainview; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda Sue and Ed Cradell of Inman, S.C., and Janie Pool, Cathy and Tim Redden and Vickie and Larry Pitts, all of Lubbock; a brother James Price of Clarkesville, Ark.; two sisters, Priscilla House and Georgia Ward, both of Little Rock, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, Joseph, Ed, David and Euel Price, are deceased.
