HALE CENTER ? Funeral services for Ailene Prather, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist church with the Rev. Gene Meacham, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Prather died at 5:20 a.m., Monday, March 1, 1999, in Hi-Plains Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1910, in O?Donnell. On Nov. 11, 1935, she married Scott Prather in Abernathy. He died in 1975.
A longtime area resident, she and her husband owned Mayfield Caf? from 1969 to 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Joy Westmoreland of Abernathy, Nita Terry of Washington, Okla., Theda Berg of Hale Center and Deanna Rhodes of Pantego, N.C.; a sister, Mildred Tannelhill of Abernathy; a brother, J.M. Redwine of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granchild.
A brother, Frank Redwine, died in January of 1999.
Pallbearers will be Steve Lee, James Terry, Jerry Terry, Barry Berg, Alan Rhodes and Jimmy Curry.
