Funeral Mass for Cristina Porras, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Porras died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at her residence under hospice care. She was born July 24, 1928, in La Junta, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Martin Porras on Dec. 12, 1956, in La Cruz, Chihuahua, Mexico. Mrs. Porras was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Alonso and Ufemia Porras of Plainview and David and Nicolasa Porras of Dallas; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Josie and Efrain Calvillo and Lucia and Fernando Hernandez, all of Plainview; one brother, Luciano Diaz of Chihuahua, Mexico; one sister, Jacinta Diaz of Chihuahua, Mexico; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
