Obituary

PETERSBURG - Funeral services for Juanita Pool, 90, of Petersburg will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Petersburg with the Rev. Don Raney and the Rev. Jesse Nave officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Pool died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Littlefield. She was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Farmersville to Daniel and Tenny Turner. She lived in Idalou and Becton. She was a caterer and a baker. She married Glenn Pool on Nov. 27, 1937. He died in 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Senior Citizens. She served on the Petersburg Library Board for many years and helped with the summer reading programs. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Alma Pool of Littlefield and Hershel and Dana Pool of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Joyce Murphree of Plano; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
