Ponce, Juan T., Mrs. (Victoria Partida Morales)

Abernathy-- Rosary for Victoria P. Ponce, 73, of Arden, N.C., will be recited at 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Abernathy with the Rev. Arnold Bravo officiating.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the same church with the same officiant.

Burial will be in the Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ponce died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, in Arden, N.C.

She was born Feb. 23, 1930, to Leopaldo and Irene Morales Partida.

She married Juan Ponce on April 28, 1946, in Edinburg.

She had been a longtime resident of Abernathy before moving to North Carolina several years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Ponce of Arden, N.C.; two sons, Johnny Ponce and Ruben Ponce, both of Abernathy, one daughter, Sylvia Trapp of Arden, N.C.; two brothers, Fidel Partida of Sunnyside, Wash., and Santos Partida of Edinburg; three sisters, Dolores Vecchio of Abernathy and Josefa Pardo and Silva Rosales, both of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A son, Roy Ponce Sr., and a daughter, Estela Ponce, are deceased.

The family suggest memorials to St. Isadore Catholic Church.
