Polk, Joseph (Joe)
Graveside services for Joe Polk, 71, were at 11 a.m. today in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church officiating.
Burial arrangements were by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Polk died at 6:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, in HIS Heritage Home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Kaufman where he grew up. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on March 2, 1946, and was stationed in Guam. He was discharged on Feb. 7, 1949 and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
He worked for Tillerson-Fish implement dealership and the International Tractor dealership in Plainview. He also worked at Parklawn Memorial Gardens from 1990 to 1993 when he retired.
His hobby was fishing.
There are no known survivors.
