Obituary

Funeral services for Katherine Poarch, 96, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Wayne Lemons of Ash and Carver Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Poarch died Wednesday, July 19, 2006. She was born Feb. 3, 1910, in Brenham. She married Howard Poarch in 1936. He died March 26, 1983. She moved to Plainview in 1944 from Estelline. She was a homemaker and a member of Ash and Carver Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Earnest and Helen Poarch of Rowlett; two daughters and one son-in-law, Darlene Johnson of Mesquite and Pauline and L.C. Owens of Plainview; 27 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
