Obituary

Services for Larry Ray Pitts, 47, of Abernathy will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Anton with the Rev. Rush Coffman officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003.

He was born Oct. 4, 1955, in Mount Pleasant. He served in the Air Force. He married Vickie Anne Price on May 2, 1975, in Lubbock. He worked for Wilkerson Storage. He was a firefighter with the New Deal Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James McCright of Clinton, Iowa; a daughter, Dena-Rae Nordstrom of Lubbock; his mother, Frankie Brown of Talco; two brothers, Gary of North Carolina and Randy of Talco; and three grandchildren.
