Burnette Parrish Pinkerton was the infant son of William Ward Pinkerton and Lura VanElla Kayser Pinkerton.

He is buried in the Running Water Cemetery near Edmonson, Texas. This cemetery is about 10-12 miles NorthWest of Plainview (south of Hwy 194) on dirt county road 40 before FM 1424. (Running Water was next to Edmonson Switch, Texas (now Edmonson) in Hale County.
