Obituary

Services for Ethel Lee Pierson, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Tom Lakey, pastor of First Assembly of God in Lubbock, officiating. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Pierson died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Prairie House Living Center in Plainview. She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Hale County. She grew up in Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School as the valedictorian of her class. She was a bookkeeper at the Ford dealership in Abernathy for many years. She also prepared taxes at Struve Mercantile. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lubbock. Survivors include two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Virgal and Bobbie Pierson of Floydada and Walter and Lenora Pierson of Dumas; two sisters, Stella Helms of Abernathy and Hulda Pierson of Plainview; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her four brothers, Elmer Pierson, Joe Pierson, D.W. Pierson, Bill Pierson; and two sisters, Cortez Breeding and Opal Pierson, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity.
