Obituary

Services for Charlie Sylvestor Pickard, 79, of Knox City and formerly of Abernathy will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church in Abernathy with the Rev. Willie R. Bolton, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002.

He was born May 31, 1923. He was raised in Calvert and lived in Houston before moving to Abernathy in 1959, where he remained until 1982. He was living in Knox City at the time of his death. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his aunt; three nieces; and seven nephews.
