Obituary

Graveside services for Lucille Howard Phillips, 83, of Amarillo and formerly of Abernathy, will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Abernathy Cemetery with Jeff Petillo officiating.

Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

She died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001.

She was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Montague County. She moved to Abernathy with her parents at a young age. She graduated from Abernathy High School. She had worked as a waitress and restaurant owner in Lubbock and Amarillo. She was a Baptist.

One grandchild preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Alvin Sublett of Lubbock; a daughter, Daylene Cartwright of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
