Funeral services for Joe Phillips, 66, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Rogers, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Phillips died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Prairie House Living Center in Plainview. He was born July 1, 1942, in DeKalb to P.W. and Elizabeth Phillips. He was a farmer for W.F. Larson's Farm and many others in the Hale County area. He was a member of Ash and Carver Church of Christ. Survivors include four sons, Bobby Phillips of Kyle, Joe Don Phillips and Roddrick Phillips, both of Houston, and Ronnie Phillips of Tyler; two brothers, Charles Phillips and Donny Phillips, both of Plainview; one sister, Faye Stidoms of Plainview; his mother; and eight grandchildren.
