Graveside services for Ethel Amie Craig Phillips, 99, will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Plainview Cemetery with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Second Baptist Church in Lubbock. Mrs. Phillips died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in Lubbock. She was born Nov. 3, 1904, in Erath County. She was a longtime Plainview resident, moving to Lubbock in 1996. She was an avid gardener and seamstress and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Coleman of Wichita Falls and Guenith Beedy and Maxine Looney, both of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her parents, Charlie and Lossie Lusby; brothers Lawrence, Norman and Norval Lusby; sisters, Mamie Lusby, Normy Morris and VaRue Powers; her husbands, Merlin Craig and Everett Phillips; sons, Eldridge Craig and Jerry Craig; a daughter, Jeannell Folley; a granddaughter and one great-granddaughter are deceased. The family invites friends to gather at the home of Maxine Looney in Lubbock following the memorial service.
