Bobby Dale Phillips, 45, passed away July 8, 2008, in Colchester, Conn. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Kim Hays officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Dale was born Sept. 4, 1962, in Tulia, Texas, to Bobby and Jean Phillips. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1980. Dale played football for ENMU. He also attended college in San Marcos. He worked at Amerada Hess Oil Company, was a pig breeder and also worked at West Texas Gas in Seminole, Texas. He owned and operated GPC Stone Works in Colchester until his death. Dale married Maria Lemay on April 18, 2003, in Colchester, Conn. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Phillips, and grandparents, Norris and Gladys Goodwin and Al Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Maria Phillips of Colchester; three stepsons, P.J., Matt and Justin Lemay, all of Colchester; his father, Bobby Phillips of Emory, Texas; one sister, Brenda Tyler of Plainview; one brother, Randy Phillips of Point, Texas; one granddaughter, Alexis Lemay of Colchester; four nephews, Matt Tyler of Athens, Bobby Tyler of Friona and Chris Phillips and Kevin Phillips of Emory; and one niece, Tasha Phillips of Dallas.
